On Oct. 3, the 2015 World Beard and Moustache Championships took place in Leogang, Austria.
More than 300 men from 20 different countries participated in the event. The contestants competed in three broad areas: mustache, partial beards, and full beard. There were 18 subcategories for the best goatee, best stubble, most fashionable beard, and more. Each section features three awards for the best facial hair.
The championships take place annually or biennially in different countries. It was in Norway in 2011 and in the U.S. state of Alaska in 2009.
